GLAAD Hangouts with Eric L. Cox, Dr. Brian Issac Marshall and Jerry Ivery, Jr., Wednesday, May 21, 2025

    Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 7PM ET | 6PM CT

Featuring: Eric L. Cox, Dr. Brian Issac Marshall and Jerry Ivery, Jr.

Join us at 7PM ET | 6PM CT for a special #GLAADHangout for Mental Health Awareness Month with health coach and SIGN UP! founder Eric L. Cox (@eric_l_cox), joined by MashUp! Founder & CEO Dr. Brian Issac Marshall (@doctor.bim) and Chief Operations Officer Jerry Ivery, Jr. (@iveryfly).

In this #GLAADHangout, we spotlight MashUp! (@mashup.nation) — a transformative space founded to support the wholeness, joy, and healing of LGBTQ+ BIPOC communities. Together, we discuss the urgency of mental health equity and what it means to center healing justice in practice, not just in theory.

Dr. Marshall and Jerry share how MashUp! goes beyond offering resources — providing brave spaces, therapeutic tools, and holistic practices that help people live as their full, integrated selves. From tackling shame and stigma to reclaiming cultural wellness practices, MashUp!’s work reminds us that being forced to fragment our identities is a mental health crisis — and that wholeness is our birthright.

We also highlight signature programs like the Wholiness Project, Dining Dialogues, and Timeless Jewels, which challenge isolation, nurture community, and prioritize liberation and love.

This conversation is a celebration of possibility — and a testament to how collective care can be a pathway to mental wellness and lasting transformation.
