The Buccaneers is Apple TV+’s newest show, taking us way back to 1870s London.
Starring GLAAD Media Award winner Josie Totah as Mabel Elmsworth and Mia Threapleton as Honoria Marable, the series follows a group of fun-loving young American girls living in London, creating clashes in culture and rethinking tradition while sent on a mission to secure husbands and titles.
But these girls are destined for so much more than a fairy tale romance.
Fans are loving the queer storyline between Mabel and Honoria. Despite living in an era where their love for each other would never be accepted, the two still find ways to be together.
Watch this exclusive clip from Wednesday, November 22nd’s upcoming episode, “Failed Betrayal.”
In the clip, Mabel and Honoria hold each other lovingly as they approach their secret oasis.
“Home sweet home,” Honoria says. It is “exactly what we need,” she says to Mabel.
It appears Mabel may be having second thoughts when Honoria asks, “Perhaps, we should retire?”
“Are you sure you’re ready, for retiring?” Mabel asks cautiously.
“Quite sure,” Honoria replies as they hold hands and head towards the house excitedly.
