Last night was one for the books at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge in Brooklyn, New York. GLAAD hosted a very special event which celebrated visionaries shaping culture – from film, TV, and music to sports and journalism – who are pushing LGBTQ visibility forward.

One Story. One Future. was a star-studded night which honored trailblazers, sparked joy, and reaffirmed a future rooted in love, justice and the freedom to live out loud. The evening even featured an exciting live interview recording of a GLAAD edition of the popular “I’ve Had It” podcast with hosts Jennifer Welch & Angie “Pumps” Sullivan and special guest Harvey Guillén.

Additional special guests in attendance included NBC’s Jay Valle, Luxx Noir London, Maeve Duvally, Margaret Josephs, Meredith Marks, Olivia Lux, along with GLAAD’s President & CEO, Sarah Kate Ellis, Chief Development Officer, Clyde Jones among others.

The reception also included a surprise performance by “Drag Race All Stars” Lana Ja’Rae, as well as music by DJ Jess King.

Earlier this month, GLAAD launched Pride 2025: One Story. One Future., centering on the collective endeavors for inclusion, justice, family and acceptance, with resources, programs, initiatives designated to enhance dialogue during Pride Month.

Despite more than 500 anti-LGBTQ bills introduced across the U.S. this past legislative session and threats of violence against LGBTQ people and families, the number of LGBTQ Americans continues to grow. In the latest polling fromGallup, LGBTQ people make up 9.3% of US adults and 23.1% of Gen Z. Acrossentertainment, where GLAAD is a creative partner and resource, LGBTQ stories continue to lead and grow, whilesupermajorities of Americans continue to support LGBTQ people and our right to live free from fear.
