Wednesday night, January 10th, was one for the books! LGBTQ stars, creators, activists, and allies gathered in Bel Air, California for a special pre-Emmy toast to celebrate GLAAD being honored with the Governors Award by the TV Academy!

The evening was hosted by GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis and Kathy Hilton at her private residence. The Governors Award will recognize GLAAD’s work over nearly four decades to secure fair, accurate and diverse representation of the LGBTQ community in the media and entertainment industries and to advocate for LGBTQ equality and will be accepted by Ellis at the Emmy Awards on January 15th.
