The long awaited third season of HBO’s Somebody Somewhere, is almost here! The GLAAD Media Award nominated and Peabody Award-winning series starring, written, and executive produced by the multi-talented Bridget Everett, is returning to the screen on Sunday, October 27th on HBO and Max!
The series follows Sam, played by Everett, a true Kansan on the surface, but, beneath it all, struggling to fit the hometown mold. Grappling with loss and acceptance, singing is Sam’s saving grace and leads her on a journey to discover herself and a community of outsiders who don’t fit in but don’t give up, showing that finding your people, and finding your voice, is possible.

Co-creators, writers, and executive producers Hannah Bos and Paul Thureen, as well as Everett, said in a statement, “It has been the greatest dream to bring this world to life, and to do it with HBO. Kansas Prairie-sized love and thanks to Amy, the entire HBO family, and to the most talented and caring cast and crew. The heart of Somebody Somewhere is friendship, and we will always hold dear the friendships on the screen and those forged behind the camera.”
This premiere is bittersweet with it being the third and final season of the beloved show. For years it has brought much needed midwestern LGBTQ representation to the screen.
Amy Gravitt, Executive Vice President of HBO Programming and Head of HBO & Max Comedy Series, shared that, “We are incredibly proud to have collaborated with Bridget, Hannah and Paul on this remarkable exploration of the beauty of everyday life. Though it’s hard to say goodbye to these characters we hold dear, we’re grateful for this journey and the legacy Somebody Somewhere leaves behind.”
Don’t miss the third season of Somebody, Somewhere, premiering October 27th at 10:30-11:00pm ET/PT on HBO and Max.
