The wait is almost over—and we finally have a first look, as GLAAD in partnership Paramount+ and SHOWTIME debuts exclusive photos and the official key art for Noah’s Arc: The Movie, set to premiere June 20.
The visuals offer fans a striking glimpse into the next chapter of one of the most beloved and impactful queer series in television history.
Backed by MTV Entertainment Studios and Pop Films, Noah’s Arc: The Movie reunites original cast members Darryl Stephens, Rodney Chester, Doug Spearman, Christian Vincent, Jensen Atwood, and Wilson Cruz and features guest appearances by Jasmine Guy, TC Carson, Eva Marcille, TS Madison, Kennedy Davenport, and Dynisty St. James—marking a joyful and long-awaited homecoming.
Created by writer and director Patrik-Ian Polk, Noah’s Arc premiered on Logo in 2005 and made history as the first television series to center the lives and loves of Black gay men. The show became a lifeline for queer viewers—especially Black LGBTQ people—offering a rare, affirming portrayal of chosen family, romance, and identity that had never before been seen on screen.
Now, twenty years later, Noah’s Arc: The Movie arrives not just as a celebration, but as a necessary act of cultural affirmation. With LGBTQ visibility under increasing threat, particularly for Black and trans communities, the return of Noah’s Arc is timely and urgent.
“Bringing Noah’s Arc back feels like a family reunion—and trust me, we’ve got plenty of stories left to tell,” Polk said in a statement to GLAAD.
Polk, who returns as the film’s writer, director, and executive producer.
“Through all these years, the fans have never stopped asking for more. And Noah’s Arc: The Movie picks up right where we left off—but with more depth, more drama and a whole lot of heart. I know our diehard fans will be delighted, but newcomers are invited to the party as well. You don’t have to be familiar with the series to get into this new installment—it works as a standalone film. Creating this project was a labor of love, a celebration of how far we’ve come and where these beloved characters are headed next. In these turbulent times we’re currently experiencing, I think people need big-hearted, romantic comedies more than ever. Noah’s Arc certainly fits that bill.”

The film carries forward the legacy of a show that broke ground for Black queer representation in media and continues to influence a new generation of storytellers. It’s more than a nostalgic return—it’s a powerful declaration that queer love, joy, and community still deserve to be seen and celebrated on screen.
With these first images, Noah’s Arc proves that the love is still here, the drama is still juicy, and the legacy is far from over.
