Hulu’s original comedy series How I Met Your Father premieres its second season on Tuesday! Picking up eight years after the events of the How I Met Your Father finale, Sophie and her close-knit group of friends stumble into their 30’s while taking on changes to their careers and love lives. This includes queer character Ellen played by lesbian actress, comedian, and writer Tien Tran. How I Met Your Father: Tuesdays on Hulu.
On Tuesday, GLAAD Media Award-winning reality show I Am Jazz returns to TLC with an eighth season! The series chronicles the life of Jazz Jennings, a YouTube personality, spokesmodel, television star, LGBTQ rights activist and one of the youngest publicly documented people to be identified as transgender. After her first year at Harvard on her own, Jazz returns home to Florida for the summer and asserts her new-found independence. I Am Jazz: Tuesdays at 10pm on TLC or Discovery+.
The NBC sitcom American Auto premieres its sophomore season on Tuesday! The series follows the employees of Detroit-based Payne Motors, a company that is struggling after a new CEO who knows little about cars is hired from the pharmaceutical industry. Out actor Michael Benjamin Washington portrays Cyrus Knight, Payne’s Chief Product Designer. American Auto: Tuesdays at 8:30pm on NBC.
Peacock’s comedy drama Poker Face debuts on Thursday! This “mystery-of-the-week” series follows Charlie (Natasha Lyonne), who has an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying. She hits the road in her Plymouth Barracuda and with every stop encounters a new cast of characters —including out stars Rowan Blanchard, Clea DuVall, Cherry Jones, and Jameela Jamil— and strange crimes she can’t help but solve. Shrinking, a new Apple Original comedy series, premieres this Friday! Starring out actor Michael Urie, Shrinking follows a grieving therapist (Jason Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he is thinking. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives… including his own. Shrinking: Fridays on Apple TV+.
