Election day is fast approaching, and this election is gearing up to be the most important one of our lives, with so much at stake for the LGBTQ community. Normally this would be the time to get out and knock on doors for the candidates who support our community and our rights, but this year due to COVID-19, voter outreach will have to be done in other ways. To get involved, look up what races are happening on the city, county, state and national level in your area and see what volunteer opportunities are available to help win this election.
Another way to get involved is to become a Digital Door Knocker for GLAAD. GLAAD will send you graphics, videos and resources to share on social media and with you friends and loved ones. GLAAD will also follow up with emails letting you know ways to continue to stay engaged and reach out to people you know. Elections are won by voter outreach and these will provide tools to reach out to those in your community, everyone from your cousins to childhood friends to coworkers, and make sure they have a voting plan.
