On June 2nd, the Concert for Love and Acceptance will celebrate its 10th anniversary and it will mark the final time the event will take the Nashville stage.
Country icon and founder Ty Herndon took to his Substack at the beginning of May and announced that this year will be the 10th and final Concert for Love and Acceptance. “In 2014, I became the first major male country artist to come out as gay,” he wrote. “It was a deeply personal decision, but it also felt like a responsibility—to show others that they weren’t alone, that they could be both country and a member of the LGBTQ community. The Concert for Love & Acceptance was my way of amplifying that message and giving allies and fans a place to show their support publicly as so many of them had done privately behind the scenes.”
“From the beginning, the Concert has been about more than music,” he said. “It is about showing up for the LGBTQ community, especially youth facing rejection, bullying, and isolation.” Proceeds from the concert support Herndon’s Foundation for Love & Acceptance, which focuses on mental health, addiction recovery, and trauma healing. The foundation has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars and will continue to build on their legacy after June 2.

This year, the concert will kick off Pride Month with performers that include Dasha, David Archuleta, Brooke Eden, Lindsay Ell, Sam Williams, Ingrid Andress, Tiera Kennedy, Maggie Rose, The Kentucky Gentlemen, Runaway June, and more.
The show is set to take place on June 2 at 7:30 PM at Category 10 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Herndon said in a statement, “So much has changed since we put the first Concert For Love & Acceptance together back in 2015, and I like to think we’ve been an important part of that change. When people join us for this show, we only ask one thing of them — and that’s to leave their differences at the door and come together for a night of music, love, and acceptance. Nothing has the power to bring us together like music. We’re so much greater than the things that separate us, and we sure could use a little more love and acceptance these days.”

The Concert For Love & Acceptance stage has featured appearances and performances by Vince Gill, Tanya Tucker, Chris Daughtry, Mickey Guyton, Brett Young, Brothers Osborne, Terri Clark, Kristin Chenoweth, Lily Rose, Chely Wright, Jake Owen, Michael Ray, Cody Alan, Dennis Quaid, Lauren Alaina, Gavin DeGraw, Hunter Hayes, Lee Brice, Billy Gillman, Rita Wilson, among others.
