2024 has been and continues to be, the year of Orville Peck! With his upcoming duets album Stampede just a few weeks away, Peck has been dropping collabs with some of the biggest names in music. From Willie Nelson to Diplo and Kylie Minogue, the masked country star is now adding alt-icon Beck to his star-studded body of work.
Premiering today, July 12th, “Death Valley High” is an infectious country collaboration with eight-time Grammy winner Beck.
The track, fresh off the Stampede duets album, is accompanied by a visually stunning music video, featuring guest stars Sharon Stone and drag superstar Gigi Goode.

On top of this, Peck also announced his 6th annual Rodeo, featuring performances from Medium Build, Mickey Guyton, Reyna Roberts, The Nude Party and more, in addition to a headline set from Peck and Tanya Tucker. Hosted by John Waters, the event will take place on August 24 at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater, with a kickoff party at Basement East on August 23 and a closing party at Brooklyn Bowl on August 25. Orville Peck was recently honored with the Vito Russo Award at the 35th annual GLAAD Media Awards. The Vito Russo Award is presented to a LGBTQ media professional who has made a significant difference in accelerating LGBTQ acceptance. The Award is named after Vito Russo, a founder of GLAAD, who pushed open the door for news and entertainment industries to include LGBTQ performers and stories. Watch his acceptance speech here:
