Before June comes to an end, there’s one last song you simply must add to your Pride Month playlist! The Pentatonix‘s Scott Hoying and singer/songwriter Loren Allred have joined forces for the performance of the summer!
Streaming now, Allred and Hoying’s cover of “Come Alive” from The Greatest Showman is available wherever you stream music!
Loren Allred, who is best known for her run on Britain’s Got Talent, also played a huge role in the making of the 2017 classic film. Allred voiced the demos and was a part of the ensemble vocals on the soundtrack for some of the most beloved songs from the soundtrack including A Million Dreams, Tightrope, Rewrite the Stars and most iconically Never Enough, which she sings the lead on.
Allred shared that, “Scott and I have been friends for years. I even sang Never Enough for his first dance at his wedding to husband Mark. We’ve always wanted to work together. This opportunity for Come Alive came along and I knew Scott’s voice was the only voice that could do this with me. I demoed all of the songs on The Greatest Showman soundtrack except, This is Me. Come Alive has always been my favorite song from the whole album.”
The duo performed their rendition of “Come Alive” together for the first time live at the 35th Annual GLAAD Media Awards!
