1.) It’s time to hit the road for zany lesbian comedy Drive-Away Dolls, featuring out stars Beanie Feldstein and Colman Domingo! The highly-anticipated film follows Jamie, an uninhibited free spirit bemoaning yet another breakup with a girlfriend, and her demure friend Marian, who desperately needs to loosen up. In search of a fresh start, the two embark on an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee, but things quickly go awry when they cross paths with a group of inept criminals along the way. 2.) GLAAD Media Award-nominated queer romantic drama All of Us Strangers is now available to stream on Hulu! Directed by gay filmmaker Andrew Haigh, the critically-acclaimed film centers on the fledgling relationship between lonely screenwriter Adam (gay actor Andrew Scott) and his mysterious neighbor Harry (Paul Mescal). When Adam finds himself drawn back to the suburban town where he grew up, his parents appear to be living just as they were on the day they died 30 years ago. 3.) MGM has released the second trailer of gay director Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers. In the love triangle film, Tashi (Zendaya), a tennis prodigy turned coach, has transformed her husband from a mediocre player into a world-famous grand slam champion. To jolt him out of his recent losing streak, she makes him play a “Challenger” event—close to the lowest level of pro tournament—where he finds himself standing across the net from his former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend. 4.) Quiver Distribution has acquired North American Rights to A Bit of Light, starring out Emmy and Oscar-winner Anna Paquin. The film unfolds an intimate story about Ella (Paquin), a recovering alcoholic who is forced to move back in with her father while her daughters are under the care of her ex-husband and his new partner. Soon, an unlikely friendship opens her eyes to taking responsibility and making necessary changes. A Bit of Light is slated for release in select theaters, as well as VOD and digital on April 5.

5.) Gay actor and filmmaker Dan Levy has been cast in Legendary’s live-action hybrid Animal Friends, joining previously announced out actress Aubrey Plaza. The R-rated road trip adventure’s logline is currently under wraps; stay tuned for more information!

6.) Max has unveiled the official trailer for upcoming political drama The Girls on the Bus, which features nonbinary actor Terry Hu in an intimate encounter with one of the leading ladies! From Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, the series centers on four journalists who follow the every move of a parade of flawed presidential candidates, while finding friendship, love, and scandal along the way. Watch the first two episodes of The Girls on the Bus March 14, followed by one new episode weekly on Max.
7.) Five-time Emmy Award-winning Hacks star Jean Smart is developing a limited series inspired by Kevin Hershey’s New York Times article “Love Letter: When My Grandmother Stopped Eating.” The poignant yet funny story centers around a grandmother (Smart) at the end of her life. Her 20-something gay grandson reluctantly becomes her caretaker, moving into a Catholic senior living facility filled with a mix of traditional and hippie nuns. Keep an eye out for casting updates!

8.) In more Hacks news, bisexual comedian and actress Megan Stalter has been upped to series regular for the upcoming season of the hit-comedy. This season, Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) is riding high off the success of her standup special while Ava (out actress Hannah Einbinder) pursues new opportunities back in Los Angeles. Stalter plays Kayla, the assistant to Deborah and Ava’s agent. Out actors Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Lorenza Izzo and Poppy Liu also star in the third season, set to premiere this spring!

9.) Lesbian singer-songwriter Kehlani re-teamed with fellow R&B star Jhené Aiko this week on the new Sleep Soul Volume 4, a fresh take on traditional baby sleep music. Queer singer-songwriter Katie Pruitt also debuted the song “All My Friends,” off her anticipated new album Mantras, out April 5. Additionally, gay singer and rapper Kayne the Lovechild released the single “Banjee Girls.” Watch the official lyric video below!
10.) The 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards have set their ceremony presenters, including out stars Colman Domingo and Billie Eilish. Winners in SAG’s 15 categories will be announced tomorrow, February 24, streaming live exclusively on Netflix at 8pm ET! In more awards news, queer Echo and Reservation Dogs standout Devery Jacobs will be honored with the 2024 Breakout Award at this year’s ATX TV Festival. The award is given to a creative “whose voice has made a distinct impact on the current movement in TV and whose work exemplifies the emotional, entertaining, and artistic possibilities of the medium.” The 2024 ATX TV Festival will take place May 30-June 2 in Austin, TX.
