In an already viral Instagram post, Windey hard launched her new love interest, comedian and writer Robby Hoffman.
“As one of today’s most visible reality stars from ‘The Bachelor’ and ‘The Bachelorette,’ Gabby Windey’s decision to continue to share her private life with the public as a queer woman is a key reminder to people, including the many millions who watch the franchise, that there are no rules for coming out and that everyone’s journey is different. This should also be an important reminder to the industry that LGBTQ people have a place in mainstream dating and relationship shows and that we must be included,” said GLAAD’s Vice President of Communications & Talent, Anthony Allen Ramos.
“I told you I’m a girls girl!!” Windey captioned the collection of romantic photos, referencing a comment she made on the show last year.
Windey, who worked as an ICU nurse in Colorado before appearing in the Bachelor franchise and competing on Dancing with the Stars, revealed on Instagram that “I wanted to wait until I was ready because it is a larger conversation.”
“I know everyone’s been really curious about who I’m dating,” Windey says in her Instagram story. Fans have been wondering about her relationship status after it was revealed she was no longer engaged to Erich Schwer, the winner of her season of The Bachelorette.
“It’s honestly been truly the best experience over these last three months.” She continues in the story post to say that this relationship “is like one I’ve never had before.”
“I always just want to live my life honestly,” she concludes before revealing she will be appearing on The View for an interview.
