In celebration of Pride Month, Canadian electro-pop artist, Riotron has joined forces with the multi-talented house music and remix extraordinaire MK, best known for his work with Celine Dion, Lana Del Rey, Enrique Iglesias, and Ellie Goulding, to release their brand new single!
“Feel” has been described as a fun fueled, high energy re-mixed song about coming alive and waking up inside your own life. “Feel” is sure to be the song of the summer and is a perfect fit for the club. DJ MK premiered “Feel” this year at Coachella and it instantly became a hit.
With over 100 million views on YouTube, remixes by R3HAB, Paul Oakenfold, and Wuki, features in Billboard and Variety and an HMMA award for best new indie pop song, the past few years have been huge for Riotron’s Jeff Fettes. Fettes says the song “is really about coming alive and waking up inside your own life. MK focused in on that emotion and injected it with incredible frenetic energy, so you really “Feel” the meaning in the music.”
Fettes continued to say that “We had been sending stuff back and forth and then MK premiered the track during his Coachella set which was actually when I got to hear the finished version for the first time. It was surreal. I had all these fans who were there tagging me asking if it was me – they recognized my voice. It was really cool of MK to drop it into his set and premiere it that way. I was floored!”
Fettes shared that he is proud to be part of the LGBTQ crowd and excited to release “Feel” to celebrate his peers.
Riotron and bounce artist Big Freedia released a song together last summer called “Drop a Bomb.” The duo spoke with GLAAD about the collaboration, watch the full interview here:
