On Tuesday, June 13th, fans of comedy, science fiction, and drag all gathered at the Paris Theater in New York City for the first of its kind I Like to Watch live taping. Starring Ru Paul’s Drag Race alum Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamolodchikova, the queens reacted live to a special screening of the opening episode of Black Mirror Season 6, called “Joan Is Awful.”
Audience members were shocked when the stars of the episode, Salma Hayek and Annie Murphy stopped by to join the queens.
Trixie and Katya offered their hilarious and unfiltered reaction to the show as they do in each episode of their Netflix Digital Series I Like to Watch.
Attendees at the event included director Alli Pankiw and partner Naomi McPherson of MUNA, Black Mirror co-stars Ayo Edibiri, Jared Goldstein, Jaboukie Young-White, special guest Karen Gillan, drag queens Mrs. Kasha Davis and Marcia Marcia Marcia, and notable social media influencers including Victoria Brito, Zachariah Porter, Emely Moreno, Kate Austin, Sarah Sulsenti and JJ Niemann. Members and guests of LGBTQ organizations including GLAAD, HRC, The NYC LGBT Community Center, Ali Forney Center, GMHC, The Trevor Project, YUVA and members of the Royal House of LaBeija were also part of the audience for the special screening.
