The second season of HBO Max’s Gossip Girl kicks off this Thursday! The reboot features out actors Jordan Alexander, Zion Moreno, Jason Gotay, and John Benjamin Hickey, as well as queer characters Akeno “Aki”, Monet, Max, Rafa, Gideon, Roy, and more. It’s the second semester of Junior year, and Gossip Girl is leaving no stone unturned in her effort to control the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite. She’s learned a thing or two from her first go-round – namely what her audience wants, they shall get. It’s time for her to turn the heat up on what’s been simmering. Old enemies, new allies, constantly shifting sands – this semester, there can only be one queen, and by the end of the school year, everyone will know where the bodies are buried, and just who was holding the shovel. Gossip Girl: Thursday on HBO Max.
On Thursday, GLAAD Media Award-nominated comedy series Sort Of returns to HBO Max. The series follows non-binary millennial Sabi Mehboob (out creator Bilal Baig), who must grapple with multiple identities as a bartender at an LGBTQ bookstore cafe and a parental figure for a hipster family, while managing the expectations of their traditional Pakistani immigrant parents. In season two, dubbed the season of love, Sabi decides that not only are they ready for some uncomplicated romance but they also want everyone to love each other. Unfortunately, Sabi is faced with situations and relationships that are anything but simple, including their dad’s unexpected return from Dubai, the Kaneko-Bauers’ struggles as Bessy is released from rehab and issues at Bar Bük. Sort Of: Thursday on HBO Max.
