On Wednesday, the season two finale of coming-of-age comedy Reservation Dogs drops on FX on Hulu. With acclaimed trans Navajo filmmaker Sydney Freeland and queer Kahnawà:ke Mohawk actress Devery Jacobs in the all-Native writers room, the series follows the exploits of four Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma who steal, rob and save in order to get to the faraway land of California. Jacobs stars in the show as Elora Dana, the tough but kind-hearted brains behind the operation. In the finale, the Rez Dogs finally make it to LA! Reservation Dogs: Wednesday on Hulu.
The season three premiere of sitcom Call Me Kat airs Thursday on Fox and Hulu. The series follows the titular Kat who uses her savings to open a cat café, against her mother’s wishes. Out actor Leslie Jordan plays gay character Phil, the baker for the café and Kat’s good friend. In the first episode, Kat is seated next to Jeopardy! contestant Ken Jennings on her flight home; Kat discovers some significant changes have been made to the cafe by Randi and Phil; and Max has returned home from his time in Nashville.
