Season two of Girls5eva will premiere this Thursday on Peacock. “Girls5eva” is a girl group that achieved fame in the year 2000 only to flame out after their one hit wonder and the tragic death of their lead member Ashley (Ashley Park) in an infinity pool accident. Two decades later, they reunite to perform when the song is sampled by an up-and-coming rapper, and decide to relaunch their group in a new era. Out actress Paula Pell plays Gloria, lesbian and self-proclaimed “always working one” of Girls5eva who also is a dentist divorced from her wife. Girls5eva: Thursday, on Peacock.
Season two of The Wilds will premiere this Friday on Amazon Prime. A group of teenage girls stranded on a seemingly deserted island have actually been secretly recruited into an elaborate social experiment. The series picks up after the discovery that there’s a new set of subjects, an island of teenage boys, who must also fight for survival under the watchful eye of the experiment’s research head. Season one saw a queer romance develop between teen girls Toni (Erana James) and Shelby (Mia Healey). The Wilds: Friday, on Amazon Prime.
