Today, GLAAD released an exclusive clip from the highly anticipated season finale of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” which features Meredith Marks and her family curating a photoshoot to spotlight and support GLAAD’s mission to accelerate acceptance for the LGBTQ community. The campaign, which was shot in June 2021 for Pride Month, features Marks with members of the LGBTQ community and allies including fashion designer August Getty, Miss Utah Rachel Slawson, influencer Joey Zauzig, artist Nikki Exotika, performer CT Hedden, Jheda, and GLAAD’s Anthony Allen Ramos.
Check out the clip below:
Meredith has defended her son, Brooks’ decision to not address his personal life on the show and has asked that her castmates be respectful as well.
“My son has been going down his own journey, wherever that leads him it leads him and I accept that at every level and I just want him to know that we love and support him in every capacity,” Marks says in the season finale clip.
Brooks is seen taking part in the Pride photoshoot and shares an emotional moment with both of his parents. “Seeing this is extremely heartwarming and just empowering to see all of these incredible human beings,” he says.
Marks, who donated a portion of the proceeds to GLAAD from her jewelry collection sales in June 2021 for Pride, also curated a limited edition “I’m Engaging with LGBTQ Rights” t-shirt which is back in stock and can be ordered here. All proceeds from the shirt are being donated to GLAAD.
The black shirt with rainbow lettering features a playful message incorporating Marks’ now popular catchphrase “I’m Disengaging,” which became a fan favorite in Season 1.
“I think that GLAAD is a really incredible organization supporting the LGBTQ (community) and I am so happy that I was able to be here with (my husband) Seth and (son) Brooks and (daughter) Chloe to really celebrate that,” Marks says in the clip.
“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” airs Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo TV.
