As summer begins to sizzle, we wanted to share with you just a few happenings in LA and around the country.
Musiquita!
Wildly creative and queer musician Flor Amargo will be at the Levitt Pavilion in MacArthur Park on July 30, presented by La Banda Elástica, a Latin youth culture web destinaton. Known for her high-energy and playful public performances and featured on the soundtrack of “La Casa de las Flores,” she is one of several musicians giving concerts at Levitt LA. Free to the public, but you do have to sign up. And, of course, mask up!
Puerto Rican queer artist Kany García will be touring starting in September!
Chilean artist Mon Laferte also recently has announced a tour of the U.S. to support her album, SEIS, said to be inspired by Chavela Vargas, the iconic lesbian singer.
Also touring this year, Ricky Martin with Enrique Iglesias! Martin, as always, was proudly visible in 2021, along with his beautiful family. He also took to social media to denounce homophobic comments he received after sharing some photos from a shoot.
