On May 22nd, the GLAAD Media Institute will offer Engagement 202: Telling Your Story Through Social Media for free online from 1pm EST to 3pm EST. You can sign up for the workshop at this Bookwhen link.
Designed for those who are starting to incorporate social media into their advocacy strategy, participants in this specialized course will receive a comprehensive overview of social media platforms, as well as leveraging social media for reaching expanded audiences, deeper storytelling, and accelerating acceptance. This course will teach participants the best practices to make the most of the potential for a variety of social media platforms, while also carefully avoiding pitfalls that exist in the social media sphere.
This workshop is hosted in partnership with the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and was originally set to be hosted in-person in Union County, New Jersey. By moving workshops online, the GLAAD Media Institute is proud to welcome advocates and activists from across the globe to join in.
The GLAAD Media Institute also collaborated with the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders for a virtual Engagement 101 workshop on Friday, April 24th. Advocates from Union County to California, and all the way to Amsterdam, were able to take part in the workshop.
