On Tuesday, April 7th, the GLAAD Media Award-nominated PopTV show Schitt’s Creek will air its series finale. And the world will say goodbye (for now!) to Johnny, Moira, Alexis, and David. Looking back at the show’s 6 seasons, we asked you to share your all-time favorite Schitt’s moments with us on Twitter, using the hashtag #SimplyTheBest… and we were overwhelmed by the number of responses!!
Here are just a few of the memories you shared with us about how Schitt’s Creek has made you laugh, made you cry, and most of all… made you feel human.
My favorite moment would be when David sang to Patrick!! That scene just fills me with joy!! Love it so much. pic.twitter.com/o0aVNOrYsv

my favorite moment was david and patrick’s first kiss…i’m so used to waiting for the other shoe to drop, for a show to make me feel like a fool for thinking a character could be in a gay relationship on screen. SC never made me feel like i should just be grateful for scraps. pic.twitter.com/ADshY4PDqq

This scene made me realise that I need to come out to my parents. That I’d been hiding that part of me for way too long. I used the wine analogy to explain. It worked perfectly. Thank you Schitts Creek for literally giving me the words to come out of the closet pic.twitter.com/JDG944Lzx9

When Patrick came out to his parents with all those scary feelings and what-ifs, but his parents loved him and embraced him without missing a beat. Such a beautiful, hopeful episode. pic.twitter.com/X3xKWMwYjy

Also anytime Moira was extra dramatic. Here’s a gif for example that cracks me up pic.twitter.com/2km5W6IaXc

I died laughing when Roland thought Moira was worried about saving the kids when the motel had a fire, but she was talking about her wigs. pic.twitter.com/fuSeqvw3gj

When David leaned in…my heart was a goner. pic.twitter.com/SwzBgke7Ib

My favorite moment was when Patrick Brewer came out to his parents & that they fully supported/support him. David Rose is my favorite character because he isn’t afraid to be who he his. He’s unique, strong, smart, beautiful, a good person, and loved.

Last week’s episode. All of it. The growth the entire Rose family has experienced during their time in Schitt’s Creek is beautiful. Alexis knowing she can make it on her own. David knowing his home is wherever Patrick is. Moira standing up for herself. Johnny getting a win.

Anytime David has done his cute ‘I’m not secretly loving this’ smile.
And all of Alexis’ ‘Ew, David’s. pic.twitter.com/lg3WvmyZvl— Clare (@eatentexp) April 6, 2020
David is my favorite character. His Olive Branch for Patrick is probably my favorite scene – watching David throughout the series, you know how difficult it was for him to be this vulnerable. And I love how much Patrick loves it – perfect reward for David opening up pic.twitter.com/vK2Pza1H04

Motel Review is a perfect episode. All characters are at their best, we meet Patrick and then there is this… pic.twitter.com/HP88rmu8z7

Can we just give a shoutout to the wardrobe of one Moira Rose.
I tuned in for the humour yes, but ohhh the fashion of ou-de-couturedness of Moira was what I was secretly longing to see. The house of McQueen with an undertone of Beetlejuice coiffure. Exquisite! pic.twitter.com/A1lDLZwsIL— cindy (@theDoorsgirl) April 6, 2020

There are so many but come on, Patrick and Stevie in the Cabaret leads! Wow! And the scene between Moira & Stevie where Moira calls Steve cool just tears me up every time! pic.twitter.com/gfssvmqGvz

The Maybe This Time scene and the scene before with Moira was so touching and integral to Stevie’s journey and who she is as a character. pic.twitter.com/hM689j4Nw6

I’ve never related to anything more than when David tried to fit in with the folks of Schitt’s Creek by forcing himself to go hunting. #SchittsCreek @danjlevy pic.twitter.com/WLt6lAQWOC

This is and will forever be my favorite line in the entire show. I cannot believe Schitt’s Creek is coming to an end pic.twitter.com/HIZ7CGbmc2
